Each Alternative DrMCare Natural Medical Self-Care Protocols?

protocol has been carefully designed to provide you with gentle yet powerful tools to help you to promote supportive self-healing of the body and mind. Everyone is unique in their biochemical, as well as bioenergetic, individuality. This, of course, must be taken into account when applying the protocols to your own individual health needs. As with most things in life, you will obtain the most benefit by paying close attention to your body-mind’s response to various aspects of any given protocol, and adjusting it accordingly.

More than one protocol, and/or the components of different protocols, may be used simultaneously. Where there exists an overlapping of the same supportive agent, e,g, acetyl-l- carnitine in the A.D.D., Autism, Depression and Memory protocols, use that particular agent at the dosage recommended in any one of the chosen protocols, i.e., a total of 3,000 mg daily.

Start with the nutraceutical agents recommended by DrM on each protocol, and then adjust the dosages and/or particular agents selected from the protocol according to your symptomatic response and relief. Listen to your body. Everyone is unique.

As a general rule, when introducing nutraceutical agents, begin one new agent at a time, at the lower dosages, allowing two to three days for your body-mind to become accustomed to it. Then, gradually adjust the dosage of the selected agent(s) and/or add the other recommended agents in the same manner to achieve maximum benefit.

Adjust the particular selection of nutraceutical agents, and the dosages used to suit your own, unique, individual needs through careful self-observation. It is always wise to have the support of well-trained, licensed, health care professionals, especially when you need further guidance beyond basic self-care measures. We encourage you to seek out physicians who are knowledgeable in the field of integrative, complementary alternative medicine, which includes the gentle art and science of nutritional therapy, homeopathy and botanical medicine, etc., as well as the more enlightened doctors within the conventional, allopathic medical community.

If you experience any discomfort while taking a particular nutriceutical agent, stop it for a few days, then reintroduce it to see if it was the agent to which you were reacting or, perhaps, a passing physical or emotional stress, e.g., viral infection, healing reaction, etc., that caused the discomfort. If the reaction reoccurs, you may indeed have a sensitivity to that particular agent, so it is best to stop it and find a suitable substitute. There are several alternative, nutraceutical agent choices provided within each protocol.

The best results often arise from combining several, different, self-care modalities, i.e., vitamins, amino acids, essential fatty acids, herbs, homeopathic remedies, hydrotherapy, massage, etc., to create a synergistic, supportive, self-healing experience.

Since there may, at times, be interactions between conventional drugs and nutraceutical agents, it is wise to consult a physician trained in nutritional medicine. You may also refer to the many fine books on drug-herb-vitamin interactions, e.g., PDR (Physicians’ Desk Reference) for Herbal Medicines, etc.
